New Food Waste Collection Service for Bristol
Allmead Commercial Recycling has launched a new food waste collection service to meet the increasing demand from commercial businesses who want to have their food waste recycled. Landfill is no longer the cheapest option for this waste. Why fill up landfill with waste that doesn't need to be there? Simply order your bin and bags from us and start recycling.
We take our food waste to an in-vessel composting facility where it is composted to produce organic fertilisers for farmland, thus reducing the need for chemical fertilizers.
Along with your food waste you are able to include paper and cardboard packaging, paper napkins, waxed paper cups, eggshells, small bones, shellfish, teabags and coffee grinds.
How it works:
Bins ~ We will deliver you a bin to store your bags in ready for collection. We have two different sizes of bin available 240 litre or 660 litres. Both bin sizes come with the option of a lockable lid to prevent possible contamination with other waste streams. We charge a one off bin deposit for our bins not a monthly hire charge.
Compostable Bags ~ Simply order your compostable bags and once full place in your bin where they will be collected by one of our recycling vans. Bags will be collected at least twice a week depending on demand. The compostable bags are offered in packs of 50 on a prepayment basis and the cost of £125 + VAT includes the collection and composting charge. We only collect the bags we supply to ensure that they are the correct specification for the in-vessel composting site.
Billing ~ As we do not charge bin hire or bin lift charges you will simply be invoiced for the packs of compostable bags delivered. Invoices are payable on 30 day terms. Your initial supply of bags and bin deposit are payable on order.
The Benefits ~ You only pay for the bags you leave for collection, not a weekly/daily bin lift or bin hire charge. As bags are sold with an inclusive collection charge there are no hidden extras or the risk of being charged for waste from other businesses.
We do not tie you in with contracts like many waste management companies as we believe our products and services offer a real cost benefit as well as being the most environmentally friendly solution.
